Teacup was found in Redding, Calif. by a nice young man who just so happened to stumble across her behind a restaurant. She was with group of other cats and bigger kittens. Teacup was only 3 weeks old and barely could walk, she had cob webs covering her face. The young man asked the restaurant employees if they knew about her and could help, they responded "that kitten is dying" and never tried to help her or cared. So the young man took her and bought some baby formula and fed her. Her left eye was so badly sealed shut that he used small finger nail scissors to cut (not recommended please don't try) away the dried mucus without damaging her eye or eyelid. He took her back home to San Jose. He was afraid he could not give her the proper care and went to the Animal Shelter where they wanted to take her and euthanize her. He demanded her back, took her home and began to call rescue groups. When I first saw teacup I was afraid her eye would just fall out. After a visit to the vet and with the antibiotic ointment and oral antibiotics her eye slowly began to shrink down to size

Teacup at 4 weeks old, a few days after treatment began. Her left eye is severley infected with a good possible chance of removal. Her right eye is infected with an inflamed cornea.

Teacup at 6 weeks old. The infection in her left eye has cleared up, but the cornea is inflamed with now only a slight chance of having her eye removed. Her right eye is becoming more clear and she can see better

Teacup at 3 months old. A happy healthy little girl. Her sight has improved and she plays like any other kitten. Her eyes are still both a little cloudy, but her prognosis is good. She does not have to any her left eye removed and she should continue to improve and regain more sight in both eyes.
Her vision is good which is noticable by the way she play with things like this leaf.

She is a spunky and happy go lucky little girl

Teacup at 8 months old was adopted on Dec. 31, 2006 by a 12 year old girl and her mother.
